SIMON DRIVER
Why would you choose my practice?
With over 30 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to helping people of all ages acquire and maintain optimal physical function, mobility and strength, through the use of specific hands on skills and knowledge. As a qualified Physiotherapist, I have worked in public and private facilities in both Australia and Canada and have successfully managed conditions that have effected movement. My extensive “hands on’’ approach includes specific massage, trigger point releases, mobilisation of stiff joints, stretches and dry needling. Exercises to retrain movement and strength will also be included at some stage to maintain the gains and prevent / minimise reoccurrences. From the ‘weekend warrior’, presenting with sprains and strains of shoulders, necks and backs, to more complex conditons of persistent pain, Osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s, and Transverse Myelitis. I work collaboratively with Medical and other allied health professionals (with your consent) to enhance the quality of life for my clients.
Listening, communicating well and being understood is a key part of my practice.
This enables my clients to obtain therapeutic value in their clinical time to address their functional issue(s).Â
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor Applied Science (Physiotherapy), Latrobe University, 1989
- Post Graduate Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
- Ergonomics & Dry Needling
- Other areas of study include hydrotherapy, headache management, neck, shoulder, and back rehab before and after surgery.
- Post operative Joint Replacements; Hips, knees and shoulders. Rotator cuff tendon injuries and repairs.
- Vertigo and Falls prevention.
- Biopsychosocial management of complex conditions.
- Effective communication skills.
- Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions management.
Away from work, I enjoy keeping fit and active. My wife and I recently completed walking the Camino Frances through Spain and feel so grateful for this rewarding experience. I also enjoy taking our dogs for a run on the beach and picking and roasting our own coffee beans – a work in progress.
Building lasting connections with clients, and providing dignity and respect are essential qualities that I value highly and look forward to assisting you.
Services
At Physio4Function I understand how soft tissue pain, spasm, and tightness, as well as restricted joint mobility can interfere with your daily life.
Physiotherapy can help individuals with neurological conditions optimise how their bodies function and move, enhancing mobility, coordination, and overall quality of life.
At Physio4Function, we help you live better by reducing pain, improving mobility, restoring function, and supporting your independence — with care tailored to your needs.
A Trigger point is a localized tender spot within a taut band of muscle fibres. It is prevented by pain to reach its full length and has reduced strength and endurance.
Insurance
I accept all major health insurance providers.
At Physio4Function, we are committed to providing advanced physiotherapy care that helps our patients achieve their optimal level of function. We offer a full range of services, from manual therapy and exercise to postural and biomechanical assessments. I accept all Private Health Insurance providers, DVA and Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) program clients. I do not consult on Workcover or CTP claims.
